Why people laugh at this game?

Why people hating on this game? Reddit filled with people saying game sucks and "laughable" I don't own the game but watched some gameplays and looks okay to me and animation of characters are actually top notch almost RDR2 quality so far I see

What is actually wrong with this game, I'm probably missing something though

I don't know. I played the free playtest yesterday and was genuinely surprised (but it might be because I had low expectations). Maybe one year ago the game was different, because at its current state I enjoyed it very much.

On launch it was pretty awful, buggy, bad progression, lack of content.

Well it has 2 things going for it. Nice cheap price and more players than Payday 3

Played the game since release, it was good if you came to it to have fun with bunch of old-school actors. But I learned that Payday enjoyers are bunch of haters. And there's a lot of Payday enjoyers.
