A civilized discussion about the drama

To, explain whats going on. We have to go back quite along way. originally Rockay City Crimeboss. was not a fan or cult classic or had any recognition of any kind. When it was on the Epic game store the reviews were mostly negative. Multiple video game reviewers such as Try before you buy, The Angry Joe show etc all rated the game incredibly poorly and said the game was awful. no one was touching this game no one was buying it or giving it positive reviews it was mostly negative. They release it to steam hoping for better still not getting good reviews. In comes Kirsche one day who picks the game up starts playing it and finds it enjoyable.

she encourages her fans to go out and buy the game. She starts streaming the game often times near the end of their streams and has only good things to say about the game. she does for two years heavily promotes the game gets the reviews from mostly negative to mixed and then eventually to positive over the course of the next two years. the game devs send her Crimeboss Merch and other things as thanks eventually they say they'll sponsor her in a partnership and slowly they start to find a audience and reach people making the game go from negative reviews to mixed to then just simply positive.

They had two years to be aware of the type of person she was. Political views and what her content was like hell I remember the Crimeboss devs showed up to stream and watched her stream their game live before seeing what she was doing. The drama that started recently is because a vice Hit article was written up by a VERY QUESTIONABLE individual. making all these horrendous accusations and comments taking clips out of context and encouraging others along with angry mob to start canceling her and ruin her reputation and to stop her from making a living doing what she does.

The crimeboss game Devs bend the knee and remove their partnership/ sponsorship Don't give her a reason why just "hey Someone wrote something slanderous about you it looks pretty bad this will effect sales in the future we have to let you go." there is no discussion there is no "can we talk about this and show why that isn't the case." they just bend the Knee and remove her from their sponsorship and refuse to discuss with her Why. understand this Kirsche is what got this game noticed.

a majority of the positive Reviews were from her fans and community supporting the game devs because she enjoyed the game. the discord had dedicated channels to crimeboss updates etc. Crimeboss would not be experiencing any of the new found success, community or anything without having had Kirsche push and promote the ever loving hell out of the game because she loved it.

that being said game devs are well in their right to back out of sponsorship and do whatever they wish but understand there are consequences for this and this backlash right now is one of those consequences. without Kirsche they would not where they are today. she was one of the Highest viewed and and watched content creators for this game on twitch and is where a majority of the audience came from. by bending the knee and removing her sponorship when she made her bones by helping promote and sponsor this game when no one else was looking at it or even touching it the game.

devs have brought themselves to be under critcism of the own rules they claim to uphold and value. by removing her to try and appeal to those who have not bought the game they have shot themselves in the foot and alienated those who did enjoy the game originally or bought it because of her.. as they say you reap what you sow. thats why the massive arguments going on right now.

I don't know or care about this Kirsche person.
From what I understand Crime Boss dropped her from being a character in the upcoming Ana Valens DLC pack THE BREEDING FARM or something like that.

Honestly who cares.
People need to be supportive of THE BREEDING FARM DLC that is coming out rather than throwing a tantrum that someone they like had negotiations for THE BREEDING FARM fall through.
Just because she wants to be in THE BREEDING FARM does not mean she is entitled to be in THE BREEDING FARM or is BREEDING FARM material.

its not self proclaimed and most those payday veterans watched her stream i was there watching the pay day vs rockay city discussions go on.

also any true payday veteran is still palying payday 2 alot of pay day veterans actually would hate this ame because it doesn't do enough with its game mechanics and that was a massive complaint from alot of payday 2 players that garnered this score mostly negative reviews in the begining.

The proof is in the drama being discussed itself. It's kinda of like how I know there are only two genders, men and women. I do not need a degree in biology to know this, I do not need stamped and approved documentation as proof. All I need is to open my eyes, look around and observe that hmm, yes, indeed, there are only two genders, men and women.

Likewise, I can look around now and see, hmm, yes indeed Kirsche appears to have had a huge impact on this game as evidenced by the drama we are currently engaged in.

Well, based on the recent reviews, I would guesstimate Kirsche had about a 60% impact on the popularity of this game lol.
