Like Jesus Christ people, the lot of you that are constantly glazing Kirsche don't seem to understand that partnerships are not a right, they are a privilege that can easily be revoked if the company feels that the partner in question will be a PR nightmare.

It is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathetic to see a VTuber with such a large following to be sending targeted harassment against a developer because they are a complete narcissist who feels entitled to have their cake and eat it to. It is sad how so many gamers have a brazen sense of entitlement that you only see in juvenile brats.

You're missing the point. The devs dropping Kirsche, while she was on vacation and unable to quickly respond to all of this drama, was the trigger. The actual issue is the fact that the company, without being addressed by any of the haters, dropped the BEST marketer they were associated with in response to an UNTRUE AND MALICIOUS attempt to defame said associate. She reached out to them to see if she could set the record straight, they weren't interested. All of this after they told her that their Steam sales are only at the level they're at BECAUSE OF HER.
We're all angry on behalf of her, yes. I'll admit that. You know what else we're angry about? A development company CAVING IN TO CANCEL CULTURE TO SAVE ITSELF. The trolls that want Kirsche cancelled DO NOT AND WILL NOT engage with the sponsers/partners that she works with. Why? Not their interest. But they'll still go out there to destroy someone because they can get off on it later. Gives them a sense of power. And when a game company capitulates like this once, they have sent the message that the bullying tactics work and that they will ALWAYS give in.
We're gamers. We don't want ♥♥♥♥ games. We don't want spineless game companies that cave to the mob. Unfortunately, that's what we've been saddled with in current year.

What part of "without her marketing the game for free and without being asked" and "without her their sales would not have taken off" is hard for you to understand. Put those two together, they should have at least had the decency to discuss with her beforehand.

All her content, her opinions, her views were already readily available when they initially offered the partnership. There are 2 options here:

Option A: They already knew about her views, didn't mind them and offered the partnership, then when the VICE hitpiece arrived they dropped her.
Bad move because they didn't stand their ground and let outsiders influence them.

Option B: They didn't know.
Failure on their part, you are SUPPOSED to check out people before you approach them for a partnership.

They are either cowards or completely incompetent, this is not a "I don't agree with your politics, so I am boycotting the game" thing, this is a "these devs are either coward or incompetent and you should be aware of that" thing.
