It's not about getting on any list. It's about standing on principle. The devs TOLD her she was the reason their Steam sales took off like they did. But they ditched her because people were disingenuously clipping her comments out of context and twisting them so that they could launch public attacks on her when she was on vacation and unavailable to defend herself.

Why is being a fan automatically earning the tag "rabid". I'm not frothing at the mouth for attention from her.
Now if you did watch her stream when she mentioned this, you'd know she DID respond to their message and offered to talk about the so-called controversy to clear up any potential misunderstanding. She even offered to put them in touch with her manager if they were uncomfortable talking to her. They just flat out refused and cut off contact. They're not interested in clearing anything up. They're knee-jerk reacting to disingenuous backlash launched against someone who has a differing opinion.

No, I did not watch the streams and frankly, I don't think I want to knowing how hideous of a fanbase she has. And here you are, acting like this is some big deal. You said you lost all desire to play the game. And why? Because your favorite eceleb isn't a partner anymore? You don't know this cardboard cutout of a person and you never will. A streamer's opinion/experience should not dictate how you feel about something without you ever trying it out yourself. Grow a spine, get a grip and figure out a way to handle your parasocial relationship with a drawing.

A lot of people bought this game because it looked like non-political fun. The dev's have shown they will bend the knee to political pressure from a bunch of bad faith actors. If they did that this time, what's next? Are we going to start seeing concord or dustborn level 'inclusion' forced into the game? I don't want to stick around and find out.

I'm not going to tell the devs how to run their game, but at the same time, they are not entitled to my money or time if I do not like the direction they choose.

You are very deliberately missing the point. I'm not abandoning my interest in the game because they dropped Kirsche (point of correction: she wasn't partnered at the time of the abandonment). I am not abandoning my interest because a specific streamer had a bad experience with them.
I am abandoning my interest because they bowed to vitriolic pressure that wasn't aimed at them. THEY BENT THE KNEE TO SOCIOPATHIC BEHAVIOUR is why I am abandoning them. THAT is having principles. THAT is having a spine.
I have played the game ... minimally. My computer barely runs it so I got maybe an hour or two before I was forced to stop and hold off until getting a better machine. I enjoy the game.
But I will not choose to play a game when the devs are willing to compromise to a bunch of twitter and reddit freaks wailing like banshees because someone said something they don't like and abandon someone who marketed their game FOR FREE because she GENUINELY LOVES THE GAME. Because if they give ground to these freaks once, they have set a precedent that these freaks control how a PRIVATE COMPANY should operate.

She supported them mostly for free, because she liked the game. She didn't get anything back until recently. This isn't some high paying sponsorship she's losing out on.
