- Subduing people does draw less suspicion compared to a dead body and doesn't get you a strike in stealth if it's a security guard/cop. You don't get strikes for kills if it's a gang member although any kills can impact heat and investigation increases. Moving tied up guards also draws less suspicion if spotted by another guard compared to seeing you hold a body bag.
- Do not give up. By learning what causes failure, you narrow down the possibilities to success.
Some mission are scripted to go loud regardless, either as a random event (e.g. warehouse robbery where gang has already looted it but they set off an explosion), scripted sequence (armoured truck cop ambush) or told to you ahead of time (loud only bank robbery). This also applies to stealth heists, e.g. armoured truck robbery but the truck has stopped and is open or stealth bank robbery but you spawn in the vault or outside it with the code and security already dealt with.
Remember: this is a rouguelite game. Failing alot is expected, but you will get stronger over time, whether through experience, skill or unlockables/boss perks.
- Different areas have different tiers of security (public, trespassing and restricted, etc). These impact what make guards and cams suspicions or outright hostile. For example public areas generally let you roam freely but some actions are still suspicious if observed by guards and cams like sprinting. Sometimes only certain areas are designated with these tiers, sometimes it covers the entire map. It's part of the learning experience.
Disabling the entire camera system in the security room / main office is not a strike
Killing a guard with a melee attack / weapon bash is a strike
Shoving a guard with your interact key is not a strike
The base game tutorial with the jewelry store explains this, as far as I know you can't even skip it the first time you play the campaign
So, again. Don't destroy the cameras, don't kill the guards, go to the security office and disable the entire camera system, and a security guard needs to be subdued with the interact key when you are up close, not with a melee attack, or killed with a brick, or shot with a surpressed weapon
