Report a translation problem
Almost anything is better than UR5. Are you unaware of how many game engies there are? RAGE is 15+ years old and better.
Ladies, I'm asking for advice on graphics settings not for your oh-so-riveting armchair game dev critiques, because this problem wasn't a problem before and am just curious if anyone else has been getting it or if it's just my setup/settings.
Put a bandage on the chips on your shoulders and focus on the topic.
And Lardo, you clearly dont know what your talking about. Less than 20% of games are made with unreal. Unity is close to 30%. RAGE and Frostbite are proprietary engines.
Lets hope they polish UR5 a lot more than they have because games using it are not doing great overall.
All I'm asking, in the simplest terms, if anyone else has had this problem so I can diagnose for myself if the problem is the game, my hardware or that I just need to change a setting.
I'm not trying to file a bug report here, I'm just asking if this is a problem others have had since the last patch because it wasn't a problem before and now it is. And it's inconsistent. Some billboards are crystal clear, some blurry. Doesn't have correlation to the texture on the billboard (e.g. the Cagnalli billboard has been both clear and blurry) or distance so it's not a LOD model problem (the billboards outside the map are fine and some in the map are fine and the blurry ones don't get better or worse based on how close I am.
It's a simple yes or no question: Are the billboards in your version of the game blurry?
It doesn't stop me enjoying the game but it's weird when everything else is rendering sharply yet random billboards are blurry.
Cause if its the latter, then you can edit the engine.ini file to remove TAA or other such post processing effects that cause blur.
Will test further.
As was commented right under, literally ANYTHING is better. UE became new Unity, everyone uses it yet almost no one knows its limits. You defend Epic so can't expect much else.
