Otherwise, you won't win, as simple as that. You gotta go bold and you gotta go hard, otherwise Chuck gets to chuck you out of the city before you do your thang.
Death is permanent, but only for that one campaign run. And you'll have several.
And at first you will fail and that happens, so don't worry too much and accept it.
1. It's not a question of whether "it's worthy", but it's a necessity. "Teamwork is essential, it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at". With higher heat, if the only target around is you, you won't survive. You need your bot buddies to take some bullets to the chest (instead of catching them with yours) and to sling some lead of their own so you won't get fncked. And if you do anyway, they can revive you or if they get stuck, you can switch to them.
As stated above you may switch so bringing a team with varied equipment makes sense - you can spot with 1 guy, lure with the 2nd and finish the guard with the 3rd.
2. Your overall account level* + some permanent bonuses related to the campaign.
Everything else is gone so don't get too attached to what you surround yourself with.
*and unlocks related to it, like some operators
3. Yes, really concerned. Once it's 100 %, your run is over, it's pretty much the clock ticking over your head. You get some occasional ways to slow it down with bribes and strategic application of violence, but these are rare and last patch they were either heavily nerfed or bugged to the point of being even more constrained. Use it everytime you can as this is the only way to prolong (and often save) the run before Chuck ruins it all.
I love the bots for loot-gathering and transportation, for most basic maps (most of the common bank and jewlery store missions) you can hold G to "Start Heist" (which causes bots to seek out loot and bring it to the van)
So you can clear a map in stealth, then "Start Heist" once everything is clear and the bots will automaticly gather up all the loot for you
Also the game sometimes jumps you with a suprise loud event in generic campaign missions that typically are stealth and since bots help you fight, the more bots you take with you the easier time you gonna have overcoming things once they go loud
Also taking Baker with you gives you huge income boosts, so its always great to have Baker on a mission.... just make sure that Baker doesnt die by giving him a bot escort^^
2)
- Office Assets bought outside of "Goal" events stay forever
- Boss Level and those inner circle Cards stay forever (like every time your Boss level increases you get a boost card for someone in your inncer circle)
3)
Once its 100% the game is over, but there are countless opportunities that are thrown at you to reduce this number
last campaign I had an investigation score of <20% when the campaign ended
a few examples of what you can do to lower the score:
- there is a set of Boss Level Cards that lower the investigation speed (permanent buff that stays for all your runs)
- every time you reach 60% investigation speed you get a mission or a bribe opportunity to lower the investigation progress (do not be stingy on bots during those missions as you absolutely want to assure they are completed no matter what happens)
- the main line heists typically give you a choice at the end, wether you want to take all the loot or not, with the less-loot choice sometimes even nullifying the investigation
- if you see that a detective is currently in a turf you can force that detective to come out during a loud mission if you have at least 2 heat (there are also some other missions that will always have detectives). killing the detectives also helps slowing the investigation
