What is the best way to farm XP?

I want to try to 100% the game, which means I have to unlock 20 unique characters in MP. I am still missing 8. According to info I found on the internet, the only way to unlock characters is with the magazine RNG system you get for leveling up. So what is the fastest way to lvl up?

IMO, play in extreme and farm the cold case mission. The one when you steal a case from a exchange in the police facility.
You can rush in, kill the thug carrying the case and then go out in less than 1 minute, 2 if you want to stealth it.
+500 XP per mission. Easy farm.

Wait, where can I find this mission? Is in in one of the Urban Legends? Because I cant seem to find in it multiplayer options.

It's one of the "Gangsters" missions in small jobs section. You can reroll mission if you back out to mission selection screen until you get the one you want. Honestly you can farm any of the briefcase missions ("Cold Case","What About My Cut?" and "Deal Gone South") since all of them take like 2 mins.

And thanks for the recommendations on thee XP grind - still have 3 locked characters I need to RNG, even after 200+ hours in game. Chase, Ranger, and Cracker are still MIA!

Same except I do it on extreme difficulty in stealth. On extreme, you get like 239K if you get all of the loot and also 1,500 XP for a 3 Star rating. It can be done in fully stealth and can escape via the dingy boat. It's pretty much a straightforward map.

hahahah i just came back to see if any answers and wrote down import export on my notepad, just went to press play and see that theres an update, and notes say xp and money rebalance of multiplayer. hahah thanks anyway guess we will see if its still the same.

I found the urban legend where you rob the hidden vault pretty good. The first 2 missions are pretty ez and the last one can be stealthed for about 900k total after the 3 missions.

the briefcase ones are still insanely quick, give 250 xp, and like 23k cash. If you are going for xp that is the ones you want. for cash, the Import Export i've got down to a science with Runaway (love that french chick). I Check the diner for the ladder, if it aint there i sprint past the cops and head to the warehouse. there is only ever like 6 cops on the boat itself so i just subdue them quickly as i go through each floor. My issue with this level is sometimes i get just over 150 instead of the full 160 and im wondering what loot im missing. Got the khan heads and russian dolls suitcases, towels, drawers, crime scenes cant figure out what im missing.

Im so quick it is actually better to leave it as a public lobby, but normal difficulty. The camera's and cops are insane on the higher difficulties that it makes the time alot longer, being much easier on normal.

Are you checking the front of the boat at the top (under the captains window) or the back in the same level (a quite hidden briefcase can spawn there on the red seating)? For the longest time I was always missing few pieces of loot until I found out about this briefcase.
