when pinged, although the ping system is just harder at harder difficulty, and maybe not as much "randomization" like payday. some of it can help any player to get into the game, not everyone can remember every layout that easily. also there is a limit to how many you can ping.
Campaign is campaign and singleplayer, if you want to play with others just play multiplayer that it's pretty damn good. If you *absolutely* want some kind of story while playing with others there's Urban Legends to play, and there's a background story for each set of mini-campaign in there.
Please don't watch garbage old hateful reviews, there are many reasons why the game reviews are positive on steam.
As it still has mission breaking bugs, etc.
"oh I had this bug once, couldn't complete mission, game bad"
"AI gets downed because I never give a damn about helping them, game bad"
"I forgot controls, game sucks" (seriously, I saw this on a stream)
These kind of people shouldn't have access to the internet.
