npc randomly gaining detection??
I will randomly throw a brick to distract npc's or to serpate them.
but some NPC's will randomly have their meter constantly filled up, even though im half way across the map?? and will continue to fill up until fully red, the level doesn't fail...until I get ANY WHERE NEAR THEM.
NPC or Guard, and upon trying to knock them out or put them to the floor, even if I come up from behind, they INSTANTLY "detect me" causing me to go loud.
its extremely frustrating to get so far into a level just for the npc to bug out.
and im talking with in at least 3 feet and some how they INSTANTLY see me, even though im behind cover, crouching and using a character with less detection

I think he/she misunderstood what I was trying to say completely :(

Don't spam bricks -> in game, stop throwing bricks constantly.

Is it tied to bricks specifically? I've played using the throwable scanner and it happened.
Was on the first Dragon dogs mission with Silver. Threw one scanner and the guard who got the question mark above his head for being too close continued on his way after losing interest. Afterwards, he became VERY interested the container door he couldn't physically see being open on the other side of the truck parked in the middle of the yard. After closing it he kept raising his suspicion until it filled and he just stood there. Frozen in place until the alarm eventually tripped.
I've had it happen on other maps, too. I was using the bricks on some of those, but certainly not spamming them. And definitely not every map, as I have a bad habit of forgetting to bring bricks for luring guards/gang members.
I hope it gets solved soon. Kinda sucks the fun out of a stealth game when the enemies see through walls.

Once they saw broken boxes of warehouse through wall
if you throw brick at 4-5 meter range near them , they go alert mode

Sadly, known bug since release.

each time you trigger the alert of a guard/thug (or even a civilian in fact), there is a very low chance they suddently unlock X-ray vision and start to detect things through wall, like tied people, broken cameras, windows or boxes.

Brick is the worst offender, because you actively try to increase their detection, but they aren't worse than anything they can detect. You can use brick, but you should not use it at every occasion you get, as it can make them bug out. If you can get them without using the brick, it's better.

My guess is the physics is messing up along the way, causing the brick to constantly *move* which is causing the npc to become alert over time.

I just mentioned bricks because it's very easy to reproduce with bricks but it does (very rarely) happen randomly. It won't, however, cause an alarm until the fully alerted NPC sees *anything* - and they don't see through walls, that's just the bug happening. If you do want to counter it, kill the NPC *silently*, without being spotted at all (silenced gun or throwing something from behind will do).
