I had a mission as part of lowering investigation where I had to go escort a person to the escape, I got to the escape early and then he to escape combat he ran out of bounds so I couldn't get to him.
And sometimes the very well made AI decides to commit suicide by cop by fighting an entire SWAT wave without cover...
Some description for a heist were too vague and it throws you into a fire fight situation to start out with, which is impossible to change the team members when you got locked in that set up knowing the heist is doom to fail.
You can't even plan for your heist this way when the game throw stuff like that at you. Otherwise make the description more clear to players, if it starts out with a fire fight or not.
I don't mind rouge lite if I know the nature of my heist, not some random stuff, hoping I don't get shot at as soon I came out of the van. This is especially unfriendly for new players trying to get into the game.
some of it can be avoided by not going into certain heists while your heat is high or by not fighting every group at once.
letting you go back and change your team would ruin how the game works.
Multiplayer, fine, a restart option could be a nice QOL feature since most of that is just rinse and repeat.
Single player is do or die and that is how it should be.
Something like for each retry you lose -10% payout to a maximum of 50% deduction. I'd happily take that over restarting my game 3 times cause of dumb AI.
I understand the concept of rouge like or lite but a heist should be planned not something you go blind into. For new players many of the heist are going in blind with the lack of info, or indicators what they are getting into. These are more like a reckless heists than anything else and kinda dumb.
That is why I said they need to make their description more clear so people can plan accordingly knowing what they need to bring. If they die or lose members it will be on them but if they die or lose members because lack of info and indicator cause them not knowing what they are getting into then this is on the game/dev. not giving them this option. to understand what the heist involves. I know there may be random events too that part I understand.
So you do not understand it. It's a rogue heist game, which means randomness is the core design. Nowhere does this game say it's a heist simulator.
So what is your explanation of a heist? So you go in blind? Which is where I say is dumb. I know some people may do it this way but it is still dumb not knowing what you will be facing. When you are not present with enough info for a heist why even bother to give a description at all.
Rouge like is fine, you make the mistake and lose ok, get on with life, just go with it, but when the game don't give you enough information with no indicator of this will be an all out fire fight, it just drop you in the shoot out and start being shoot at as soon you get off the van, due to lack of description where one ended up using the wrong team for the wrong job and being locked in, no, it is on the game not the player's fault.
The game DOES give you this information. Look here at the section "Loud or stealth?":

I don't have those icons. Did they change it after this guide posted?
So I am going to assume anything with a skull in it will be Loud?
There is no stealth icons in any of my early play through.
Edit: So anything without skull can play both ways? I won't get jump at the start of a heist, is that what it means?
