Unless my mission is hot, AI is *always* a hindrance except when carrying bags from an already cleared map. Having a second member while doing a stealth mission has never helped me, and any attempt to give the AI commands or use them in any way other than leaving them at the start has resulted in going loud 9 out of 10 times.
If the mission is loud, then they're okay bullet sponges but they love standing on grenades, get run up on by white ninja police constantly, and have no idea how to use their gadgets or deal with shields. I can count on one hand the amount of times they've successfully picked me up if I went down. They shoot okay but I can basically do the same thing by backing myself into a corner with a shotgun in a bathroom or an LMG (but the reload time is killer without certain perks). The only time this isn't always true is when fighting bullet sponges like Cagnali's bots or robo police since the extra damage is nice and even shotguns can get overwhelmed.
Not much to add, but it's definitely related to the campaign and mentioned in the tutorial itself, I could elaborate on the amount of AIs per team, I might add a sentence or two for that.
You actually don't even need to do them to complete the roguelike campaign so I ignore them a lot since the pre-emptive setup missions are super boring to do. "Get X document, get out".
In case you forgot, the topic at hand is "how to do I beat the roguelike campaign?":
1. Make money (less team members on minor heists = more money, and all stealth heists are literally easier solo as I've explained)
2. Take all territory
It sounds like you're talking about a loud major heist that you might not even see during your campaign and is completely optional but I wouldn't know since you still haven't explained what it is. I don't watch cutscenes or do tutorials.
You didn't even do the tutorial yet you come here sharing questionable advice that's... Weird, at least...?
In campaign there's nothing mandatory anyway, so "optional" is very subjective, campaign doesn't force a single thing on you. You could never do turf wars, you just don't get to conquer the city, but you could.
I've had the bots get stuck in the room where you throw loot into the trucks twice on that heist.
Even if I manually take control and unstuck them they run right back in and refuse to leave.
I've seen this happen to other people playing. I wonder if it happens across all the different starts for that mission? What I mean is, I've only started it through the subterfuge route (3 times completed), and escaped through the tunnel. And I've never had them break. I wonder if main gate and whatever else, cause some kind of switch statement to break.
Like they think, that's still the escape route?
