It's become so bad that I can't play anymore without it happening at least once every mission. I'm done playing until they fix it.
Yeah, I noticed that, but there was literally nothing on the stairwell. Just the broken brick that I threw to attract him. The ziptied guard was above his head behind the ceiling, there was zero sightlines between them. No broken camera either.
Totally. That's my guess too. It's driving me crazy. Do the devs even know this is going on? I've looked everywhere looking up this issue and I haven't found anyone talking about it at all except here.
It isn't, it's just a bug/glitch in the game. You're lucky you haven't had it happen lol.
Basically what happens is you throw the brick and the guard goes to it but.. their detection meter fills up. it has to be the brick because I've thrown it, no tied up people, body bags, nothing to alert them is in sight and they just get alerted. One time I even threw a brick indoors, I wanted the person to look the other way so I could move and he just became fully alerted by the brick. Then when that happens is I've seen the guard or gangster doesn't matter what enemy, shoot in that direction at it. The AI is super confused.
Jeez.. how do you even stop using bricks, that's like a challenge on its own! Props to you. And yeah, I just completely avoid the bosses cause like you can't do anything to them. The only thing that I can think of for taking them down is if you have a silence gun or a melee weapon. BUT the 'boss' has to have a melee weapon otherwise they'll just shoot you and alert everyone. I usually just avoid them.
Got rid of everyone except one guard near the van.
I had to do one more bag, as I walked back to pick it up I suddenly saw a guard on the opposite side of the alley.
I threw a brick behind him, he turns around and as he walked to check the brick his meter was filling up.
It's inconsistent. They can be alerted both inside and outside. In restricted areas and civilian ones.
