Game Crashing at Startup

Hi All,
bought the game yesterday, played for 6 hours no problems at all.

today evertime the game launches and gets to the screen to press a key before loading the main menu the game just crashes with the crash reporter saying an unreal process has crashed: CrimeBoss


Ive tried so many things already and dont seem to be able to fix it, any ideas ?

Have you looked in 'event viewer' (Type that into your windows search box). windows log, application to see what error it gives you? Then I would Google the error code.

hi, I just bought the game, 2 hours ago downloaded it and it doesn’t work, it crashes with an error, send a report

other things I've tried

- Reinstalled the game (twice)
- Deleted some folders and ran integrity check
- Updated DX
- Tried launching with -dx11 and -dx12 only
- Updated the computer bios
- Updated all windows and computer updates including graphics driver
- Deleted all temp and appdata temp files
- Restarted the computer multiple times
- Tried launching using admin rights
- Event Viewer doesn't display any details when the game is launched and crash

me too, cpu 100% at start up menu and cant choose any option

I got the same issue! Could it be that I have a save game from Epic Games Store's trial version?

Hold up! I fixed it. Just had to verify the game files integrity. Right mouse click on the game in library, properties.

I have the exact same issue, if you could let me know if anything is done about it, it would be appreciated. Been verifying and uninstalling again and again. Very similar issue to you, played yesterday, played today and on the menu to press any button, crashes.

This folder contains your crash logs, see if you can figure something out by opening the dump files, whether they point to something obvious.

Any text file. Good to know where the crash logs are!
