Most likely it is a false positive.

I suggest contacting the makers of your AV software and sending them the file. They can properly analyze it and determine if there is a virus or not.

I had exactly the same virus alert yesterday. I am using AVG AntiVirus Free Edition 2015. The file it has a problem with is agds.exe in the Black Mirror folder. Most likely is it is a false positive as this file has been there since I installed the game months, maybe years ago.

AVG is known to produce a lot of false positives, I wouldn't worry about it.

same issue here. Question though. I let avg 'fix' it (yes I know.. noob move) and then deleted the game and tried to reinstall/download. And its giving me a disc write error. Help please any one?

Hi Wolfwench, To sort it I added agds.exe to the exception list of AVG. You can do that from the AVG settings menu then go into Advanced settings > Exceptions and click ADD.
I set it's location as anywhere. You will then have to remove and re-install the game.

thanks. I did that and it worked. :)

I have McAfee and no warnings yet. They're usually the first to warn me about everything. I had to cut loose Avast, too many needless popups. Uninstalling it did something messy with Windows and I had to do a factory reset.... thanks Avast.

You could try scanning the specific file at virustotal.com, it scans and shows the result for each known AV engine.
