Activision's "fix" was overwritten by hackers literally within 48 hours of it coming out. Therefore, it is irrelevant.

Quick note, if a CoD game has this as an option, make sure you can play offline. If not, playing solo should be fine. If you wanna be safe, look for safer alternatives to play the games. Like the T7 Patch for BO3.

Campaign: is completely safe (excluding co-op campaigns).

Multiplayer (without a community-made client) is a guaranteed RCE attack/kill-switch/blacklist.

Zombies online is also a guaranteed RCE attack/kill-switch/blacklist. Play offline, and with any available community patch.

If you're wondering how you can be safe; do the following:

- Use a VPN/turn off your internet.

- Play the desired game with a community patch/client.

- Make an alt Steam account, and share your main account's games to it, so if that account get's blacklisted by an attacker, your main account is safe.

- Play the games on console (as finally the matchmaking there has been fixed my Microsoft).

- DON'T PLAY ANY MODERN COD. YOU ARE ASKING FOR YOUR ACTIVISION ACCOUNT TO BE BANNED PERMANENTLY BY HACKERS.

But ultimately, if you wanna be the safest; don't play CoD games at all.

Campaign is safe to play. So go ahead if you just want to play it

Multiplayer is dead since 2022 activision did something that cause the "fastfile" error so is safe for the moment. The only way to play it is with bots or friends in custom/private match option in the multiplayer menu, but that means put trust in your friends and what they have in their computers or even what do you have in your computer. 2 months ago I heard some youtuber or streamer was playing with his friends and followers in a private match(none else can join these type of matches in this cod) then from nowhere the computer of someone in that match start to being remote controlled.

Lesson: make sure who are you inviting to private matches.

Zombies is playable online and with friends but same as the regular multiplayer think 2 times with who are you playing and if is worth.
