Game crashes after loading into zombies, never played game once
i just brought this game because i play it contentiously on console and wanted to experience it on PC, after buying it waiting 8 hours for it to download, load in and start a zombies match, the game crashes at the start of the cut scene, without fail crashes either at the words "zombies in spaceland" or as soon as pointdexter makes the quote 'and clearly i'm the nerd' and the game wont even allow me to skip the cut scene either, i have to sit through it, i've deleted, re-installed, checked for missing files ect, and still nothing helps the game to run, if i wasted $139 on this game just to get ripped off im gonna be hella pissed, is there anyway i can fix it, and if so how?

1- make sure your graphics and audio drivers are up-to-date.
2- enable windows updates if you've disabled them for some time.
3- you can find the latest version of DirectX on internet and install it.
4- you should see if your anti-virus doesn't cause any conflict with the game.

other than these, I can't really suggest any more fixes, tbh. if you can't solve the problem despite all efforts, and if zombies is the main reason you've bought the game; then you can consult for a refund on steam if you're still eligible for it.

yeah, waste of money indeed, unless you're a huge fan of Infinite Warfare. the sales ended anyway, but with 140 bucks, it was possible to buy 2 copies of Black Ops: Cold War and Battlefield V each, plus a base game of Black Ops 3 on key-stores, just about a week ago.

I had 2GB on board graphics when I bought this game. It was not enough. The game crashed alot for me just like you say. I bought a 3BG GTX 1050 card (playing game on my PC). Disabling my On-board. ALL my runtime problems went away.

I did know barely enough RAM could lead to crashes for various games, but it was new to me that too weak GPU or too little VRAM could also cause that. in my previous post, I was also going to write it's possible to get an Nvidia GTX 1650 Super 4 GB for 140 bucks; but I changed my mind thinking that OP probably owns a similarly-powerful or better video card.

:steamthis:

according to Google Translate, he says that disabling the Focus Assist in Windows 10 has fixed his crash problem that used to happen in zombies.

here's how to do it, in case you don't know:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/turn-focus-assist-on-or-off-in-windows-10-5492a638-b5a3-1ee0-0c4f-5ae044450e09
