It would seem like Black Ops II has most of the options I am interested in.
Any other suggestions/info appreciated.

yeah the Ghosts bots are great because the devs never perfected their behavior with all the new stuff that came after ghosts.
Ghosts also has biggest amount of content which is needed for what he wants and Exodus is much better than all zombies.
Go into your local store and pick up Ghosts for 10$. Local MP I think only Block Ops 1 would have that but not sure.
Cheers guys.
Private match games don't count toward XP progression and unlocks. Everything is usually unlocked in private match anyway so it doesn't matter if you don't care about playing public games.

Black Ops II has fairly simple AI that moves forward, shoots, and occasionally throws a grenade. They're good enough if all you want is to mow down some dumb bots in team deathmatch. It supports up to 11 bots total and up to 9 on the other team. Everything except for non-DLC weapon camos are unlocked in custom games.
-
Ghosts is the first in the franchise to have AI that loosely imitates human players. Better for objective-based gamemodes. Thankfully the camping behavoir is nowhere near as aggrivatingly persistent as actual players. It supports up to 17 bots total with no other restriction. Bot skill levels can be set seperately for both sides, including a mixed setting that uses all of the skill levels. Everything is unlocked in private match, even Gold camo. Ignore Squads mode, the progression is gimped. You can't individually customize your AI teammates in private match, but the pros greatly outweigh the cons.

Infinite Warfare allows up to 5 bots on your team and 6 on the other, with separate skill settings. Everything except for supply crate items (extra cosmetics and weapon variants with minor stat tweaks) are unlocked in private match. Base game cosmetics (including Gold, Diamond, etc. camo) and classic weapons are still unlocked. Jump jets and wallrunning can be disabled.

Modern Warfare Remastered allows up to 17 bots unrestricted just like Ghosts. Everything except for Gold and Regal (more like Christmas ornament) camo are unlocked.
I'm currently looking at Ghosts, and it seems like a pretty decent choice.
Thanks.
There are basically 2 types of game mods.
1. Multiplayer - play against bot(ai that behaves like player).
2. Coop mods - play against ai.
Here are the list of Call of Duty games that we loved and play all the time.
1. Modern Warfare 2
a. Multiplayer
No mp against bots.
b. Coop mods
Spec ops. While good, once completed, no reason to replay.
2. Modern Warfare 3
a. Multiplayer
No mp against bots.
b. Coop mods
Spec ops. Like its predecessor, while good, once completed, no reason to replay.
Survival mode. Extremely good to play cooperatively. We play this for hundred of hours. Lots of maps to play.
3. World at War
a. Multiplayer
No mp against bots.
b. Coop mods
Coop Campaign. Good but no replay value. Very fun.
Zombie survival. Excellent mode. There are hundreds of community created maps(I would say there are about 20-30 user created maps that are up to Treyarch standard. Maybe better than Treyarch(Clinic of Evil, Requiem)). We play this for hundred of hours. Buy this for user created maps. If you want to play the original zombie maps, play it in Black Ops, which includes original WAW zombie maps for free.
4. Black ops
a. Multiplayer
Have mp against bots.
b. Coop mods
Zombie survival. Excellent mode. Includes original WAW zombie maps. Doesn't support user created maps. Multiple maps to choose from. We play this for hundred of hours.
5. Black ops 2
a. Multiplayer
Have mp against bots.
b. Coop mods
Zombie survival. Excellent mode. Bigger maps. More complex way to complete a map(Easter egg). We like simple maps, so we dont play BO2 zombies as often. When we play, nuketown zombie are our fav maps.
6. Advance Warfare
a. Multiplayer
Have mp against bots. If you dislike exosuit jumps, you can disable it.
b. Coop mods
Survival. Great mode. Lots of maps. Get all DLC to get the most maps. We have beat all maps except 2 maps(IIRC). Hundred of hours are spent on this mode.
Zombie survival. While great, IMHO there are only 2 maps that are worth playing. The first DLC and the fourth DLC. Spent hundred of hours on this 2 maps. Upgraded all wonder weapon to the max.
7. Ghost
a. Multiplayer
Have mp against bots. IMHO, have the best options for mp against bots. Get Ghost if you really love mp against bots.
b. Coop mods
Survival. While not as fun as Modern Warfare 3 survival mode, it is still a good distraction.
Extinction. Great coop mode. Have progression system. Quite amazing I must say. Get all DLC to get all maps.
Playtime on some of the games mentioned above (based on steam profile), might not be as much as I stated above. It is because, sometimes I dont play the steam version or playing a modified client. This is mostly because for FOV hack.
Havent tried BO3. So no comments.
Great write up man, thanks for sharing.
So far I am pretty pleased, the game runs really well, it looks pretty good and there are lots of multiplayer options to choose from.
So, a big thankyou to all of you for your input and advice.
Cheers,
