Convert Xplane X Steam to Disc version + Offline Mode

Required : Xplane X Steam Edition installed
X Plane X Installer / Updater for ether Windows, Linux or OSX http://www.x-plane.com/downloads/dvd-installation/
Xplane X Disc 01, or Xplane X USB stick,

1) install Steam @ xplane x
2) download and run Xplane x Installler, Click update Xplane x (it should auto dectect xplane already installed, if not manual find install directory, do not check beta box (unless you want to install the beta). The update/replacement files is roughly 12mb (with out beta option)

once update ever thing should work.. ether start game via steam or xplaneX.exe directlly.
Make sure to have your disc 1 or usb stick in before loading game or it will put u in Demo mode.

HowTO Repair game if something gose horrible wrong

if something brakes or if you opted for the beta and something dosn't work right. Right click game in steam libery, Properties, Local Files, Valid intergirty,

This will repair xplane x back to the steam version (this will not remove any DLC or add-ons as far as I know. Or atlest it didn't remove my add-on airplanes .

It works.. I have my Xplane Set up like this as soon as I figured out I could do this..

Some time starting from steam might put the game in demo mode..
Ever time I start form the Directory or a shortcut to xplanex.exe always works..

So, you need to buy the xplane dvds or the usb stick from xplane.com to do this?

or download the *mini.iso* and mount into via deamon tools or explore.exe if your windows 8..

And yes this is legit to do since you already own the game,
