Why is the green chocobo so hard to spawn?
in both 100-110 af I am unable to get it to spawn. I have both battlemainia and encounters on yet it wont spawn.

it spawns more with battlemania off. and be patient, it will spawn eventually.

In 100AF go to the spot where you need to jump down to the cliff in south-east of the ruins, the spawn rate there is much better.

Really turn off battlemania? thought it helps to spawn rare monstes?

chocobo's arent rare, they uncommon.

Rare monsters you can see the type when you select them in the monster list.

The Green chocobo was the hardest for me to catch. He showed up a lot less than all the others I have (red,blue,purple) did. Just keep running around and you'll get him. I didn't have battlemania unlocked.

Agree, this is the place to catch the Green chocobo, it was the second chocobo i got and the one i found easiest too.
