I've made a custom launcher with a little bit more options

Final Fantasy XIII(series) Combined Custom Launcher

FFXIIICCL is merely an "unlocked" version of default launcher Square provides with games from FF XIII series

It looks like this:

As for the added feature set:

• Ability to set any render resolution (much like gedosato).
  
• Ability to disable MSAA entirely.
  
• Ability to set shadow resolution below 512 and above 8192.
  
• One launcher for both (all three in the future) games with shared settings.
  
• Automatic game path detection (with option to specify manual path in case automated process fails to find the game).
  
• Ability to replace default launcher for each game of the trilogy.

The launcher was built using VB .NET, so making anything that your generic AV software wouldn't pickup would be hard.

Only reported issue which may or may not occur is that it may not launch XIII correctly if it's placed in the same folder as XIII-2 default launcher

Few important notes:

1. This launcher CANNOT fix the game, if you've issues with the game, the launcher can mitigate the issue, but most certainly if the game is fundamentally broken on PC, don't count on me(lol)/durante or anyone besides SE to fix it.
   
2. This launcher requires .NET framework 4.5 Which is NOT available on Windows XP.
   
3. Game relies on MSAA for rendering transparent textures, thus disabling it (using 0 samples) will result in broken transparency.

Thank you ever so much for this. I needed to disable the MSAA so I could use a basic ENB with ReShade that i threw together, Game looks so crisp and sharp now thank you XD

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, the Xiii launcher had a many bugs for me on windows 10, to the point i could not even set the resolution or anything else!

this master piece really solved all my problems!

Thank you, I am running 2560x1440 and is now able to set the fullscreen resolution to 2576x1449 to get rid of the diagonal line tearing.

I tried downscaling with GeDoSaTo with resolutions above 3840x2160 which did not help with the diagonal tearing, while upscaling from 720p and 1080p worked but made the game noticably more pixelated.

It can launch the game and that's that.

Why is the button for Lightning Returns grayed out? I can't press it but XIII and XIII-2 works just fine.

Because LR doesn't use launcher and has built in settings manager, making it impossible to use custom launcher for that entry in the series.

you can easily change the graphics settings in the game itself, just drag the mouse to the top left and you'll see the menus...all the game is running in is a glorified ps3 emulator, so changes are applied mostly without resetting the game or even a screen flicker

Can you help me run this launcher? I get that error saying that could not find the installation folder. I copied the launcher to the FFxiii-2 folder. I'm on Win10 x64. Thank you!

Does this still work? I've set the wrong path because it couldn't find the installation folder, now it won't let me change it, even if I load default settings...

After couple years my memory regarding this project is quite hazy but in general launcher itself should still work just fine.

It couldn't automatically locate the game files for some reason. When I tried launching, it offered me to set the path to the game manually, but I chose the launcher instead of the game executable (and the launcher doesn't launch here, no matter what I do). Now it doesn't give me the option to set the path manually again.

After a few looking around, I managed to find where the configs are stored (somewhere on Local appdata), but now I've given up playing this game so I've uninstalled everything, so I don't remember the exact path to where the config is stored.
