which i do and mash with the best of my abilities yet its not using the ability.
tried all the buttons on the controller and none was working :(
its gonna be really anoying if it ends up im not gonna be able to use moggle bobble with my controller.
anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this?

Try Right Shoulder button. Odd that they tell you to use A, but in my case, my Xbox ONe controller, it told me to use Right Shoulder Button. So it should be RB
tried that aswell i pressed every button on my controller :s

Let try something different. Go to Devices and Printer, then right click Controller. click setting. Then highlight your controller then click Properties. On Test tab, test out every button and see if each of them flash. Make sure you click the thumb stick as well. If one of the button number did not flash, let me know.

@darkest
the only thing not responding is the left stick(pressed in) since it broke a long time ago.
stil should that be the button to activate mogs ability?

@darkest i just tested it out and the onscreen controller layout says RB is supose to be moogle hunt and C on the keyboard.
tried C on keyboard did not work
binded the moogle hunt key to P tried that did not work either :(
i think i might not be able to use moogle hunt :(
gonna reinstal the game hoping it wil fix something

I saw the other post about the driver. I remember I ran into the same issue long time ago. Do you have other controller driver installed? or any game pad program?

no i only have the xbox 360 wireless receiver and then obviously it auto installed the 360 controller aswell.

What about keyboard driver? did you change the keyboard during the lifetime of your computer?

I'm also having this issue. The game is literally unplayable for me because of this bug. I cannot get past the Mog tutorial, the game doesn't freeze, but when the menu prompt to "Take tutorial" or "Skip", I cannot select either. Neither D-pad up down, WSAD or the arrow keys on the keyboard work, nor does Enter. I hope this gets fixed, and I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue.

Using Wired x-box 360 controller.

Here is an alternative solution - Use Minecontrol for Minecraft. You can remap all the buttons on your Xbox-360 Controller. Look up Minecontrol on YouTube.
but its like its not binded correctly ingame itself.
since even if i rebind the moogle hunt key(keyboard) it stil doesnt function.
also to darkest i never changed keyboards with this PC yet.

Try to disable any HID device on Devices Manager. Only enable the HID for your keyboard if you have extra function back.
i dont got anything plugged in right now except the wireless receiver :(
gonna try with my xbox one controller instead hoping it wil fix it.
although its weird that everything works in every game except FF13-2 and how it ignores the moogle hunt default of C and even if you rebind it to say P it stil doesnt work.

Same problem here. Says press A when it should be X. On dialog trees when I press X it uses the A dialog choice. Unplugged every HID device except mouse and keyboard and on a PC I can't be expected to unplug those. Seems the input mappings don't match the on-screen prompts. Unplayable with a controller at this point.
