Anyone else stuck in Sunleth Waterscape 300 AF?
I am currently unable to progress because the game didn't trigger the cutscene that gives you the ability to throw moogle. Now I'm stuck on the back of the big grass monster thing that won't move until the cutscene is triggered or I throw the damn moogle which i cannot do. I can't reset my position in that area without starting a new savefile either. I was simply wondering if anyone encountered the same problem during their playthrough and if anyone was able to get out of this situation that no one should be in.

just quit and verify the content of the game. then reload the game. It use autosave, so it will put you back right at the big ass green monster

After though, be sure you fight the dragon in the next place. The hunter area, forgot name of the map.

I tried but the problem with the save is that it's right after the cutscene that gives you the throwing ability but I dont have it so the monster just sits there and I can't do anything
I just started a new save and got to the area again. Apparently you can just skip the whole thing and dont actually have to ride the monster thingy or watch the cutscene so I didn't encounter the bug again but it still pisses me off that I have to play through the first ~5 hours of the game because of this.

Could something similar happen if you don't kill it?

Well you have to kill it to advance the story but technically you have to ride the beast to get the that particular gate.......of course if you're feeling brave you could kill the giant ass flan and go for the paradox ending XD.

It should prevent you to skip or skip to that part when you have to throw the moggle. It always do that. but apparently this is not the case

It's weird because in my fist save I can't do anything but in my second save I can skip the entire thing by simply pressing start at anytime. It seems to be a pretty rare bug though, guess I was unlucky.

Yep, this just happened to me. After beating royal flan automatically opens historia crux. And nothing changed at this 300af sunleth - this royal flan stays there as alive and not beaten.
