Can't start game.

Own FFXIII, PC plays it just fine. Finished game so decided to get FFXIII-2 and game won't start. Stuck on White Square Enix Screen. PC exceeds recommended requirements. All drivers and updates are current, at the moment I un-installed and downloading it again. Will let you know if it fixes the issue. Any other ideas? Thank You.

Tyvm, Angelus. I'm done w/this ish. Porters along w/80% of Coders and Software WTB's are nothing but crumbled up pieces of paper shooting over a trashcan w/a hoop over it. Refund for this Junk. I'm out.

I have/had the same problem. It could unfortunately only be solved in FF XIII and XIII-2 by pulling out the XBox One controller :(

You're not alone. There are quite a few of us of are experiencing this exact issue. Myself and friends have tried disabling Steam Cloud, disabling the Steam Overlay, updated all graphic driviers, used various Microsoft Compatibility setting, etc., and still can't play the game. We've contacted Square Enix Support but received a generic, canned scripted response. At this point, there is nothing users can do but look towards Square Enix for a patch, though I very much doubt we'll ever see one.

Yeah, often my game refuses to launch. When it does launch, in fullscreen mode, it close by itself randomly. Sometimes I can play for 1 hour before it happens, sometimes only for a few minutes. If I play in windowed mode, the game work ok (it does not close on me), but I got some lag during dialog-heavy cutscenes. So annoying, and FF13 had no issues. I tried everything. Disabling the Steam Overlay, launching the game as admin, toying with the resolution option.

My game refuses to launch, I get a launcher error. I don't get it, on my old pc I managed to launch it, now I have a new one, with better graphics and better performance, windows 10 and game just refuses to launch. I tried several thing, plug out controller, run it in compatibility mode. Changing the graphics ... (have Nvidia Gforce experience) but nothing helped to I still get that little white widow with launcher error and get thrown out. Has anyone any solution o this? I played FFXIII without any problems, and wated to try FFXIII-2.
