ensure you follow the instructions in the readme file and select the option to revert the game otherwise it will hang at the SE logo
[EDIT] - Actually, when I select the N7 outfit for Serah the model (although still devoid of textures and so bright it's hard to discern clearly) appears to be Lightning FFXIII style and Noel seems to have been replaced by Hope, FFXIII. I dunno, that's what it looks like...
You must install the Console Content Patch on an unmodded game. If you have any mods installed, it won't work properly. Verify your game files to revert back to the unmodded version, then try again. The outfits definitely work for me (I just checked), so the mod author can't be blamed for the mod not working.
The readme is too vague. Assume I'm a clueless PC illiterate. I did a complete re-install of FFXIII-2, btw, and still the same result. Inside the RAR is one folder and one executable - copy them as they are and plonk them into the specified directory? I dunno, that's what I did and it didn't work. Speak to me as if I know nothing about this stuff (because I don't).
The game has 1 official patch since release. The problem is that this official patch removed the extra console costumes out of the game files after the game was released. So we are going to put them back in by reverting the game back to the initial pre-patched version.
In order to do this:
-Verify the game files - (You've already done this i believe)
(I would recommend backing up the contents of FINAL FANTASY XIII-2\alba_data\ here in the event something goes wrong to save having to redownload them)
1) run the "Install Console Content Patch.bat" batch file
- select option 1 to revert the game to version 1.0 in other words the pre-patched version)
2) run "Install Console Content Patch.bat" again
- select option 2 to unlock unlocks the costumes.
Option 1 essentially adds the costumes back into the game, then option 2 unlocks them. Often it seems to be option 1 that people seem to miss out?
Thank you so much - this actually worked! Isn't it amazing what clear, well-written instructions can achieve? The 'missing' DLC outfits work great and look fantastic. Really impressed. Thanks again!
