Monster Infusion Cookbook

Drop your monster infusion recipes here, custom or well known just drop the ones you think work best.

Point of this thread is to help new players build a good monster, or monsters, and have an easy reference to them. I know there's quite a few guides already on monster infusions, but they dont cover every monster. Example, its hard for me to find a good dreadnaught infusion guide anywhere.

I'll start with a very simple build that every new player should make before making others.

Monster------: Goblin Chieftain
Crystarium Expansion----: +1 Bonus Boost.

Gather these Monsters:

01) Lv. 40 Goblin Chieftain
02) Lv. 20 Lancer
03) Lv. 20 Lancer
04) Lv. 33 Caterchipillar
05) Lv. 45 Sahagin Prince
06) Lv. 72 Necrosis
07) Lv. 23 Mewmao
08) Lv. 66 Green Chocobo
09) Lv. 99 Flandit

Infuse in this order:

01) Lv. 40 Goblin Chieftain <-- Lv. 20 Lancer (learn Challenge)
02) Lv. 40 Goblin Chieftain <-- Lv. 20 Lancer (learn Deathward)
03) Lv. 40 Goblin Chieftain <-- Lv. 33 Caterchipillar
04) Lv. 40 Goblin Chieftain <-- Lv. 45 Sahagin Prince
05) Lv. 40 Goblin Chieftain <-- Lv. 72 Necrosis
06) Lv. 40 Goblin Chieftain <-- Lv. 23 Mewmao

Ignore Entrench, as counterattacks are not desired.

Yeah it's a burner Steam account the entire post history of which appears to be stalking & harassing this one user on FF XIII trilogy forums resulting in multiple threads getting derailed & locked by the mods.

Can't do anything about it tho, steam mods wont do anything and tell me its my fault, and they lock down my threads instead of banning this dude which don't make much sense to me but whatever. Steams a horrible place anyway.

Lv. 98 Purple Chocobo <-- Lv. 60 Tezcatlipoca
Lv. 98 Purple Chocobo <-- Lv. 45 Sahagin Prince (learn Faithga)
Lv. 98 Purple Chocobo <-- Lv. 22 Tonberry
Lv. 98 Purple Chocobo <-- Lv. 36 Thermadon or Lv. 29 Narasimha
Lv. 98 Purple Chocobo <-- Lv. 45 Metallicactuar
Lv. 98 Purple Chocobo <-- Lv. 58 Clematis

Additional Abilities:

Enfire------------------: Lv. 01 Amanojaku
Enthunder, Enfrost------: Lv. 20 Oannes
Boon--------------------: Infuse 41 levels worth of SAB monsters

Very simple infusion and a very good synergist.

Many of these Infusion recipes can be found in this guide: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/619315-final-fantasy-xiii-2/faqs/63731 I'm sure the authors of the guide would appreciate it if you credited them after directly copy & pasting from their guide. That said, some of my favorite builds are the Cloudburst and Goblin Chieftain in that guide. They're quite essential against Gilgamesh. For other monsters, I can take a few guidelines from the infusion guide, but I may also add some other abilities that I find useful. For example, if I want a Commando to defeat trash mobs quickly, I sometimes give him/her Auto-Bravery (it's handy for battles that last for less than a minute, even if it's not ideal against bosses).

Another build I also like is Silver Chocobo, solely intended for Chocobo racing. Use only Potent-class materials, then infuse a level 35 Microchu and a level 14 Reaver on a max-level Silver Chocobo (source: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/619315-final-fantasy-xiii-2/faqs/63763 ).

Yes they are copy and paste lol I couldn't think these up by myself. But I don't need to give them credit you did it for me thanks.
Just wondering if anyone had any other builds they could share like behemoth, I can't find his recipe, and customs tend to get confusing. Bellow looks like a good offensive buff, would save me time switching to a synergist or cloudburst/gobchief.

I wanna make at least one auto bravery commando for farming, but not sure who would be most effective.

Is being obnoxious, like... Your thing? I never once claimed it was mine I was asking for other sources. Really I just wanna help people out with a game that's a bit cryptic when it comes to leveling up monsters and it took me a while to learn. And I wanna learn myself since there's a lot of recipes I can't even find like dreadnaught, but I'm also not online all the time.
