Anyone have a guide on how to get 5* on this beast?

Just when i thought penance is the worst...

Fight him with noob gears with 3 saboteurs. As soon as he is poisoned (and maybe deprotect/deshelled, your choice) switch to 3 ravager and break him then switch to 3 commandos and damage him a little. The poison is the most important value in this battle.

When he is invincible, switch to 3 synergists and buffs yourself or switch to 3 medics if you need hp. Whenever he does his big attack, switch to 3 sentinels then heal back with 3 medics. The poison will deal with him in time, your damage will support the poison and the noob gears will give you more time on the timer for 5 stars. Repeat the cycle until he is dead.

This video is obviously focused on goals beyond just scoring 5-stars, but it does provide a good illustration of the types of tactics you can employ during the battle. In short
1) Unequip any powerful Weapon
2) Poison + tank/heal until he reaches 30% HP. You have to do some damage if your Str/Mag is high, even without good equipment.
3) Poison, get a summon, get a full Gestalt Gauge, change to Gestalt Mode.
4) Stay away from your PC. Have sandwich or a cup of tea.

Thanks for the video. Will try this later. Meleeing this boss is a pita, and that dispel... just destroy my whole team
