Diagonal line across
First, the patch runs much better than GeDoSoTo, but @1440p there is a diagonal line that runs across the screen, the same line I got using the mod at that resolution that disappears when I downsampled from 4k. I'm wondering if it's a postprocessing effect or something that scales weird because it's completely absent during battle.

I shouldn't say I'm happy with the port as there is still some stuttering, but I hate to say it, but it's not anything I'm not used to since the 360 generation. Games may have slowed down and flickered in the NES/Genesis era, but since then, up until the 360 era, I never even thought about low framerate and Nintendo games ran at 60fps.

Anway, I would like the option to lock the framerate to 30fps if it's going to be inconsistent.

Yeah, it's the same for me. It's a really weird bug. If I remember correctly it was solved by editing the resolution to 2561x1440 or something in Gedosato.

It's all native now. No need for the mod. It almost makes me wonder if they at least in part used Gedosoto as a starting point. If they did I hope they paid the man.

Yeah, it feels as if they just stole Gedosato and implemented it into their own launcher. Complete with options and the weird bug with those lines running down the screen at 1440p.

If you use a card from Nvidia you can lock the framerate, plus enable DSR so that you can pick a custom resolution slightly higher than 1440p so that you get rid of those ugly artifacts.

I'm on AMD and they're locked out their new driver feature for older cards. Sad as the 7970 was their previous flagship it's not like it isn't possible without using 3rd party tools.

Yeah, after another test I see I percieve everything as smooth until I enter battle and it jumps up to 60fps. The it wildly fluctuates between 20-30. It seems like 30fps would be ideal for my resolution anyway. It seems like games mastered at 30fps looks smooth at 30fps and even though it's not sped up it looks sped up at 60fps.
