Would you buy the mobile port of FF5 and FF6 if it came to STEAM?

Just out of curiosity, would you guys buy the mobile ports of FF5 and 6, even if they are barebones like the FF4 port?

At first, I didn't like the sprites art in those versions, but they are starting to grow on me. The enhancements in both "remakes" worth it.

Probably not, for the same reason that I haven't bought the Android ports (pricing aside). I would have bought it if they just kept the original graphics, but IMO the new sprites look like they belong in some low-budget flash game instead of a classic Final Fantasy game.

The character faces when they talk are actually good looking, though, even if quite different than the sprites.

not sure. I love the original sprites. FF VI was good at its time, but I only played it once after playing FF 7 (psx version). I remember I almost wanted to stop playing. it is a good game, but for someone whose firsthand experience was FF 7, maybe it was too outdated.

FF V however, is still charming. I like the job system because I like FFT, unfortunately I don't find the story too engaging. maybe I will finish it someday though.

the only classic jrpg I will probably buy is chrono trigger. it has been my #1 jrpg for long time.

Actually, that's the best thing about the mobile versions: they have the EXACT SAME music quality compared to the Snes, not low quality like the GBA ones. ^^

Well, I'm playing the Android versions on an emulator too, but I still would buy them (again) if they ever hit Steam. ^^

(Well, more like Android OS on a virtual machine, but that counts as emulation! :p)

That is good news. Big reason VI is my favorite is the music from it. I'd buy for sure.

I have them both on FF Anthology for my Playstation, so I'm good. Besides, FFVI mobile is kind of ugly.

if they upgrade to 3D... it will be remake, and dont think they will risk remaking with hi-quality current gen graphic... just look back FFX HD remake, not that much better right
if they making remake, i think its gonna be like FF3 for DS... that as much we possible get for remake

Well, the Android versions actually have enhanced graphics compared to the snes. The sprites are more of an acquired taste (I don't like them much... they are too colorful for MY tastes), but most backgrounds and the enemies and spell effects actually look very good. And the sprites actually are just a matter of getting used to, imho.

All in all, I think the remakes aren't that bad.

The sprites have always been very different looking than the original character designs, even in the more recent titles. Yoshitaka Amano's artwork never seems to translate very well to in-game, it seems, but those are the original character designs that were drawn up long before the game's assets were made.
