If it weren't for Vanille, Serah and Sahz's son wouldn't have been made a la'ice, which in turn wouldn't have bright Lightning and Snow into this mess, to which Hope's mother would not have died.
Keep in mind, there are completely different cultures portrayed in the game. The bond between Fand and Vanille, for instance. They are the last two people alive from Gran Pulse. It makes sense for them to be so close. Plus, they kind of grew up together in the same orphanage during the War of Transgression. They're pretty much sisters.
Lightning and Hope's relationship stems from loss; Lightning believes her sister Serah is dead, and Hope knows his mother is dead. They needed each other just so they could keep moving forward.
Personally, I think Fang has a thing for Lightning. She's the only one who saw her brand, for one. Not to mention Fang likes to tease Lightning every now and again.
Does she have a navel piercing?
I forgot Lightning showed off her brand to Fang actually, but the players never get to see it. There was a bit of lesbian teasing, but Lightning aside from that blushing, showed very little "weakness" or lack of control over what she was feeling. If she was wrong, she just admitted it later. I still loved her character though.
I thought about the sister thing with Fang and Vanille too, it wasn't until a bit later in the game and the ending, where it seemed like far more than that. I don't think it was unintentional is what I'm saying.
Btw I finished the game, I just meant if you had a PS3 don't spoild XIII-2 or Lightning Returns, especially if Hope and Vanille ending up being a thing or whatever. I purposefully ignored this game planning on playing it and now they're all coming to PC.
It's only really bad when they don't realize that females have feelings too and if that female finds a particular game is her cup of tea, how ca you tell her what she likes or dislikes about a game?
