English or Japanese dubbing?

I really cannot decide. Which one of 'em is better? I watch anime and stuff and I like japanese language, but there's Ali Hillis as Lightning in the english one. I loved how she dubbed Liara in the Mass Effect.

What's your opinion?

Well i prefer the ♥♥♥ one, my only real problem with this is that the eng sub in this game really doesnt follow the ♥♥♥ audio.

Mind you , i dont understand japanese completely , but i can understand part of it , and even to me it is really easy to notice often what is said doesnt match what is written in the sub.

While I enjoyed Ali in Mass Effect, I have to go with Maaya Sakamoto as Lightning. Also, listening to Vanille in English causes my brain cells to die so Japanese dub for me. Hope doesn't seem as whiny in Japanese either. :)

Lightning and Sazh are the only voices I really like in the english dub. Vanille tries to mimic the japanese way of speaking, which just doesn't work in english. Fang's accent I cannot stand (and somehow she's talking like... to a wall all the time, not to other characters). Snow is "ok", Hope ... i wanna punch him (but that's probably what they were aiming for).

The additional cast (villains, Hope's father etc.) is quite good in english though, I liked it.

Neither english nor japanese are my first language though, dunno how americans or japanese feel about the dub.

I actually find the quality of the actual acting being done with the english voice overs beside perhaps vanille to be of fairly high quality most of the time, the problem is more that the script they are forced to read can make it seem a bit silly at times.

I normally don't care about that stuff but in this game i find the japanese dub clearly superior.
Idk the voices just suit each character better.

Hum ... bad is a strong word. I would say poor.

They often dont tell what exactly is being said , but they will give you an idea of what the character means to say.

Usually atleast the meaning of the sub and what is said is similar , even if not the same words were used , after all the scenes and what is happening ingame for both is the same lols.

The few times it doesnt it is indeed weird :P.

The Japanese dub is amazing. I'm using it.

The English dub is not bad though. Its set between the horrible dub of FFX and the amazinf FFXII one. ^^

Both of the voice overs are good.

English voices and subs work. However, the localization in the English version changes the meaning of the sentences and sometimes changes your perception of the characters.

Japanese voices and english subs don't match up very well, since the subs are tailored to the English voices. As I mentioned, some of the meaning is lost in the English dub and that carries over to the subs which recite the English dub.

If you can understand some Japanese, you'll be able to notice some subtle or distinct differences in the translation and what's being said. Personally, I prefer Japanese voices and turning off the English subs for cutscenes.

Englisch! I know no one which understand ♥♥♥ language, so why i should use it.
♥♥♥ is useless and needs only lots of GBs, i dont understand why there are no seperate clients to download the language u want...

its strange..if some russian game have for example..russian and english voices,,you all who play japanese, play in russian because is original ?

eam, yeah(at lest me)? look at Metro series, it give more deepths and feels better .
