How do i use Eidolons?

Just spamming enter key ? Got combo or things im supposed to know ? Stuck in a battle that have to use just Snow VS a boss. The fight start with Eidolons, i think its Shivas, who designed that this game that a guy sits on 2 ladies ? =P

You haven't got a summon yet.

That's the only thing that annoys me about XIII. That they turned Shiva into a motorbike and somehow got a new name and a twin.

BTw to use summons. Techniques>summon.

No, i mean, the fight started with the Bike already, there is a meter on the lower left corner, what am i suppose to do ? All i did was spamming enter every few seconds.

You need to fill the gestalt meter then press X(not sure what this button is on the keyboard,sorry).

they say, "attacking wont work" or something similiar, use your sentinel power and block their attack and the gauge will rise.

Spamming icestrike will work also. You get spam healed so you can't die there unless the doom meter counts down to 0.

That battle will get you the eidolon for future use, but first you have to prove yourself worthy of obtaining them. Theres more than one way of obtaining them depending on the Eidolon. You can a) build up the chain bonus gauge (top right corner, filling this helps raise the gestalt meter.. I think?) with attacks, or b) try another method, for Snow's particular Eidolon fight, its as the guy above me said, just switch to sentinel and guard your way through it.

You're talking about in chapter seven, that fight, basically just auto-gestalt (press A) until you get down to 3 gestalt points left, then press Y to do Diamond Dust Lv. 3 and it will kill everything except Orion. Then just kill Orion as Ravager, Froststrike and Aquastrike should make short work of him as he is weak to both ice and water.

If you keep pressing A all the way, the counter stops at 1 no matter what and the last attack will be the ultimate, so you don't have to worry about that.

Square? Xbox 360 is the default controller for pc so that's I assumed he was using. It even says "Press X" if you enable controller function.

Either way,I think Scarlet Crusade told him what he wanted to hear. I wasn't sure what he meant from his OP.

I'm confused about the gestalt mode as well, the tooltip refers to the left analog stick? I think, but I play with kb. So yeah I'm jsut spamming enter.

oh no u even remember the boss's name, i think u might have died like 100x and cursed the boss so badly =P

Ya rite, im talking about that fight, but still, are there any explaination of the meter thing at the bottom left of the screen ? or its just for decoration purpose only ?
