whats with the ESC Button being a panic button ?, is this a 18+ adult game, or a NSFW game ? XD

i mean really ESC button is useally used for options and pause while you have the options to change audio, graphics, resolution, and or save load game, plus ofcourse exit game and exit to desktop, and ofcourse change key layout :P

i just think its wierd and annoying that it closes the game. since if you hit that key by mistake or you have a house hold pet like a cat that walks over your keys then it will result in you exiting the game even when you do not wish for it...

i hope they fix this. becourse its really annoying

and yes i did sign the petition for the changes with the game's options or adding an options menu

plus the useal use of the ESC key is useally useful for if you need to go afk or such :P. do to real life stuff :)..

In the early days of computer gaming the ESC key was just that a Escape out of the program/game. It was standard back then. Somewhere along the way to now it changed to being the go to button for menus. Early develpment of this game was done on a computer and ESC was still most likely the standard key to exit a program.

Really? As far as I know, just a select few games and programs used the ESC key to completely close it.

In fact, I'm having a hard time remembering ONE SINGLE GAME that exits when you press ESC.

Even in OLD games like Commander Keen and Wolfenstein 3D, the ESC key just brings/close a menu.
