no japanese subtitles??

when buying the game, the game details showed full audio and text support in japanese. yet the game just seems to run with japanese audio and english subs...but i want to improve my japanese reading skills.
anyway to get japanese subs?

The subtitles depends on the region you are in. They are automatically set to the main language for where you are at. I believe what you have Steam set as for language influences this. There is no way to change the subtitles in the game iteself.

Changed you language for the game in steam? Right click game in steam library language and change it to japanese or whatever you want if you havent dont it yet.

Apparently, that only changes the launcher menu, not the ingame language.

i did that already prior to downloading it (setting language to japanese). maybe i have to change the steam language to japanese first and download it again...i used to play the game on ps3 in full japanese :P but playing on pc is much more comfortable for me^^

Should change everything. Tested it and it changed ingame language but i dont know about cut scences.

you mean you changed your whole steam to japanese and downloaded it? cuz as i said, changing library doesn´t work for me, it seems.

Okay appenrently none of the non roman letters seems to work either a bug or a font issue.

maybe a problem with your pc? as i´m running windows in japanese anyway. non-japanese OS sometimes have trouble displaying japanese characters ;D

yeah :P i hate messed up subtitles. that´s why i started learning japanese a long time ago. and it bothers me seeing messed up subtitles right from the beginning of this game... xD

okay, setting steam to japanese and re-downloading the game doesn´t help...need to let steam support know! maybe each of you can open a steam support ticket?

They didn't add Japanese text/interface to the western version of the game. We need a sticky about this. I've literally seen dozens of threads about this scattered across this forum. They keep getting buried and new ones keep getting made. This way we'll never get the attention of SE.

I tried contacting the mod that made the Japanese audio sticky, but (s)he didn't accept my friends request.

I was also unable to set the text language to Japanese, I think it was not included.
Playing with english subtitles is really, really confusing!

i actually opened a ticket at the SE support for the game. maybe there´s a workaround or a patch in the future...who knows.
i just think all of you should try to contact them in order to let them know there are people who want a full japanese version
