And how much VRAM do you have? Surely at least 1 gb yes?
qazgosu Oct 10, 2014 @ 1:33am
512 according to CPUID and the my VGA is the above mentioned
qazgosu Oct 10, 2014 @ 1:36am
still mate , according to minimum even maximum game requirements i should be able to play like most of the ppl who have problems.

I m playing games like FF XIV online , Bioshock , Far Cry etc w/o any problem .

Thats not normal

512mb Vram is quite..uh..old I should say. However, this shouldn't be a problem as the minimum requirements for the game state you only need at least 256mb. http://puu.sh/c6BIz/8dde2ce614.png
Either update the Minimum specs shown or fix the problem for the honourable gentleman Square Enix.

Damn 512? As Dante says you're not trying to run above 720p are you?
qazgosu Oct 10, 2014 @ 1:46am
sesheenku can you explain me your statement ?
I m running my desktop @ 1920 x 1080 max reso , but FF XIII has only window and full screen mode settings at the launcher .

i mean should i lower my desktop setting before playing the game ?

Did you make sure your drivers are up to date?

The game only runs at 720p unless you use a third party tool. You can try lowering your resolution to 1280x720 but anything below probably won't allow you to even select full screen mode.

If that doesn't work I suggest using GPU-Z to measure your memory usage while playing.

You'll know for sure you need an upgrade if it hits too close to 512.

I'm playing with a 256mb vram card and so far no crash. Similar card to yours but mine is an AMD Radeon HD 6410. Yes, very old card. I don't care if people think my computer is old. Point is... I have the minimum requirements so it works. If you have the minimum requirements, it should work fine. Make sure your stuff are all updated, it's very important.

Search for the game FFXIII on this link and have it scan your PC, you'll know right away if there is a requirement issue:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

Also another method to check directly through Steam (launcher) if you have the minimum requirements for the game. You must enter this in your url then allow it to execute the command in your steam launcher:
steam://checksysreqs/292120

@ Sera : according both the site and the steam check , my pc meets the minimum requirement and for maximum just lose it @ VGA

@Sesheenku : i tried GPU - Z throug a dota game and my memory usage sits ~430

anything else i should try for it ?
Seraphita Oct 10, 2014 @ 2:57am
Very weird, really... If requirements checks tell you that you have enough vram to play the game, you shouldn't get a vram error. There is no hidden vram overusage or anything. I believe some people had compatibility issues with certain graphic cards but still... Sounds odd to me.
