Where can I find the saves?

It's under X:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SquareEnix\FinalFantasyXIII\save

At least in windows 7

Not on Steam though, its saved under the userdata folder in the main steam folder.

Mine's in Appdata due to me using 7 so it looks like it depends on whether someone's using Windows 7 or a different version of Windows

I'm on W7 and for me the saves are in :

Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\68310973\292120\remote

Save location is not about W7 or not it is about steamcloud active or not and with steamclould you could not copy save files from other locations but without you can use saves from other sources

i refuse to use Cloud Saves with how unreliable they are, even steam cloud.

So my saves are under appdata as well.

Thats for Cloud saves.

Look under X:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SquareEnix\FinalFantasyXIII\save

you are write with this one but one small mistake "Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\"68310973"\292120\remote. the 68310973 is your personal steam id just search for 292120 thats the game id in steam

W10 user here, this one worked for me:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\141199266\359870\remotecache.vdf
141199266 is actually my steam id so yours will be different
359870 is the game id of FF X/X-2 HD Remaster in steam so it will be identical in your folder
copy remotecache.vdf on a usb and replace it for the other remotecache.vdf on the other pc

Normal Local saves for X/X-2 are under Documents/Square Enix
Though some games do have their Save Locations within the Steam folder
While others may be saved within the My Games folder under Documents

it depends
