Tip for Nvidia users to optimize display

In the Nvidia control panel, under Adjust desktop size and position, I have my Scaling set to Aspect ratio and have Perform scaling set to GPU. This leaves my display at 1080p and allows the GPU to upscale the game instead of relying on the monitor to do it.

This should also work if you have a 16x10 aspect ratio display. You will just get small black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.

This will fix any problems with the game showing up in the center of the screen with a black border around the image.

GPU scaling is also almost always superior to relying on the display to scale the image.

Not sure if AMD or Intel integrated graphics has an equivalant setting.

AMD has similar. Open up Catalyst Control Center. Expand "My Digital Flat-Panels". Click on "Properties (Digital Flat-Panel)" and check Enable GPU up-scaling. That should take care of it. I'd recommend selecting "Maintain aspect ratio" so the video card doesn't warp the image, although if you have a monitor that's not 16:9 then pick one of the others.

Yeah, with the GPU upscaling, I hardly notice that this game is not running at 1080p.

I'm not sure this is working for me. After doing exactly what you said, the game still appears to be running in 720p. Wonder if I'm missing something.

My laptop lcd doesn't include this option and my HDTV has all options disabled so hopefully this game will support 1080 soon :) But 720 is fine for me, works great. Gfx is GTX 880M

Almost exactly what I was looking for, thanks. At least the aspect ratio is native (to the game) now. I can do without microstutter and would prefer 1080p, but really, the game still looks wonderful.

this isnt killing all my stuttering but it´s finally something thats usefull.
bit smoother cause i can now run it perfectly on fullscreen with vsync

did this but when i laucnh the game in windowed mode its still a little 720p window
not sure if i did something wrong
oh wait, am I supposed to set the DESKTOP to 720P also?

This works amazing. The game feels very good and I also placed antiscropic filtering x16 multsampling 8 vsynce on etc... looks really good and plays well :D
