Possible fix for Crash on Startup
I kinda noticed that a few people where having crash on startup issues and I found a solution that fixed this in my case (choosing windowed crashed it also). So I figured I'd share to see if this could possibly help others.

How to fix it? Simple, add FFXIII's executable to the list exceptions for DEP.

What is DEP and how to I add FXIII as an exception?

Read about it here (click me!)[www.itechtalk.com]

Hopefully this might help some people out there.

Another possible solution posted by a user in this topic:

Did you try restarting the computer after making the change? If my memory isn't wrong the first time you switch DEP off (change the settings) it requires a restart for it to actually work.

Also be sure that its pointing to the ffxiiiimg.exe located in "...\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XIII\white_data\prog\win\bin"

I have tried all, but the problem is still alive. I use a laptop with Windows Vista, even if I have tried with another computer and the problem doesn't fix.

I done every step listed, used DEP and downloaded the updated DirectX on the computer from the file in the DirectX folder. However, when I click "Start Game", it starts the program window for the game, but disappears along with the program in the system tray. It is still running in the background when I checked. Is there any solution to this?
