We Want English Audio! (JAPAN/ASIA) - Updated Unofficial English Voice over Mod!
Well someone needs to start this so let's get the ball rolling! As you know the NA/ROW has both the English and Japanese voiceover. We Asians only get the Japanese voice over! Not all Asians understand Japanese so if you want support for English voice overs for the ASIAN version please post here. Original post for the NA campaign:

As it can be seen there.

For the rest who have to download twice the amount and don't like Japanese Audio. Sorry but we just wanted to make Square Enix know there is a demand for the original voices.

Thanks to everyone who supported this topic too. We made a difference.

Now I was also hoping that the other regions would get English as a choice as well but I don't think that happened.

Thanks to a community member there is an unofficial fix to add English Voiceovers. However it should only be attempted if you are comfortable with editing files or you might mess up your installation and corrupt your original 30 GB download. As usual make backups of your original installation before attempting this method:

Update (for those who cannot wait)

I have finish download the NE version from somewhere you may know. I combine the files to the one in my steam directory as follows.
0. Do not forget to make backups of the files in 1. ( and maybe 2.).
1. Replace the launcher: FFXiiiLauncher.exe,
2. Replace the whole directory of white_data.

Then everything will be fine. We do not have to do any crack, just launch the game using the steam client. Now the launcher will have an option to select language audio.

It is noted that the save progress can be used together among the versions. If you decide to make the backup of the whole directory in 2., you may end up with losing the hard disk space of up to 30GB.

Addition information
In fact, you do not have to replace the files. You can just add the addition files, from the NE version, with having 'us' as suffix. For the launcher, you can also keep it using the original JAPAN/ASIA version. To change the audio to English, you have to edit the "setup.xml" file using any text editor, for instance, Notepad. You can see that there is the code say <voice_mode>. What you have to do is to replace the value from 0 to 1. Now, when you launch the game, even there is no option for audio, the game will have English voice-over.

I have to note that there is a different between the two launchers (as I know for now). That is the "confirmation" and the "cancel" keys of using the controller are swapped, i.e. NE version presses "A" to confirm, whereas ASIA version presses "B".

I don't know why there isn't just one version for the entire world. It doesn't make any sense at all to have it any other way.

Personally it doesn't affect me since I'm in the US, but I'll definitely still support the dual-language version being released in Asia. They deserve it just as much as everyone else.

Now that the Fans in the ROW have won, I think this topic should be pinned in replacement to the request for Japanese Language.

Of course, I support all possible languages available on all releases.

I'm from Asia and i don't understand Japanese. Why ROW version get dual voices but we don't? Please add dual voices for all version. It's unfair because of my region i must be forced to listen to Japanese voice over which i don't understand.

Else the only way i can do is pirate the ROW version (which is stupid) and since i already BOUGHT the game.

You want Japanese audio anyway!! The English voice actors are HORRIBLE, the best way to play this game is with Japanese audio and English subtitles. Trust me, the game is ALOT better with Japanese audio.

Why can't we have both? Lightning voice by Liara Tsoni from Mass Effect 3 so i doubt it's that any worst.

Didn't they change the entire games lip sync to match the different audios?

I much prefer Lightning's English VA > her japanese VA. I'm here to play the game + follow what the story is telling me. I'm not here to ready subtitles. Subs are fine for Animes but in terms of gameplay, I need o focus on what's going on.

Good thing I prefer the english audio over the japanese.

Can I at the very least get the option to choose like the rest of the world? I might want to replay the game twice in each audio version. At least the rest of the world gets to do that but we don't!
