Good as Xenoblade Chronicles?

Hello friends,
I am a big fan or JRPGs, played many Final Fantasy games and enjoyed them immencely. The last FF I played was FF 12. It was more like MMO-RPG with little story elements in it. I liked the game and it's brilliant auto-commands system. But the main character and overall story were boring and not interesting.

Xenoblade Chronicles is far better game in my opinion. Truly one of the best RPGs of all time. It does everything right, that FF12 fails to do. It's story is one of the best in video games, the characters are all relatable and interesting. In my own rating, FF12 would get 7/10 (gameplay is great), but Xenoblade would get 10/10, a perfect game.

The question is, is this game anything close to Xenoblade Chronicles? Or is it a bunch of jokers?

I loved Xenoblade Chronicles. I would say that XB has a better story and a nice, open world. But I feel that the combat is much better in the FF13 series. I liked the art and music better in FF13.

I don't think there's a game in this century as good as Xenoblade imho, there's really no comparison with recent FFs...

Anyway, they're two completely different beasts. I would recommend play FFXIII with a open mind, not waiting something FF or JRPG like. It's a unique game with it's own merits and some bad design choices xD
