how many chapters?

How many chapters are there? I am at chapter 11 and at this chapter I am starting to get bored with the game and missing the constant story development and cutscenes. The game may be very coridor gameplay in the previous chapters, but I liked it more then now in chapter 11 where it is just a bit of running around doing side quests/missions that does not really add much to the story. In the old days I loved just running around and doing battles/grinding, but I can't get myself to it anymore, it's just to boring.

I am doubting to continue or buy FF XIII-2, I will have to uninstall this one as it's a whopping 60GB.

Alright thanks. I am pretty much near the end thus and catched most of the story already. I think I will go for XIII-2 now.

Just go ahead and beat chapter 11. Chapter 12 goes back to the linear pace of the other chapters, and chapter 13, while a bit less linear than the others, isn't as free as chapter 11.

BTW, you DON'T have to grind in here. Chapter 11 has LOTS of optional content that are NOT related to the story. Just follow the main story and forget aout the optional content.
