Don't get me wrong, i love them. played 7,8,9,10,10/2,12,13,13/2,13/3.
if you want something like skyrim or fallout or mass effect then buy them not FF's.
Meanwhile, I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles and that is pushing toward the open world spectrum hard.
there thats better.
Well im not talking about the main story, its often linear, even in Skyrim, but when you can travel around the world, visit many places and can do subuests on your own wish, then its open world for me. :) So FF games always had open world.
A good example of sandbox open worlds would be Skyrim, along with every MMO ever.
Can you ignore the main story? Yes.
Can you pursue sidequests? Yes.
Can you engage in minigames? Yes.
Can you go anywhere you want? Mostly yes, some areas need unlocking via various methods.
Sorry friend, but you are wrong. Gran Pulse is open world to the core.
You cannot go anywhere you want as travel is limited and linear. It is not a vast open area in the same sense as other games with actual open worlds. It's one big field with tiny paths jutting out of it.
At any rate, further responses to you are clearly going to lead to nothing. Have fun with your stubborn ignorance, and good day.
Pot meet kettle.
Its very odd to say this based on how much of a inspiration 11 was for 12. If you liked 12 so much then you should like 11 because 12 other then the changed licence/board system is pretty much just the offline version of 11 with a new story and characters.
That being said. 11 has changed over the years to the point of being an entirely new game other then the story and lore. 11 is basically a single player game now with Trusts. In a lot of cases your Trusts are better players then real people (Stunning things humans can't, realiably keeping you alive with heals. keeping all buffs on you),,, and theres over 80 of them all different jobs and play styles to collect. You can experience nearly everything the game has to offer by yourself now with the only exception being the few pieces of gear and weapons only really hardcore players will attain.. There is some great story lines here to be had. its like 6 games in 1 worth of story lines and the final story ties them all in together nicely.
I just had to point this out because your view of 11 is entirely out dated.
