Fix: Xbox One controller in menus

Hello everyone,

I've developed a utility that includes a fix for the Xbox One controller bug in menus. It is a modified version of a utility I developed for XIII-2 and has not yet been tested on XIII, since I do not currrently have it installed. There is a chance it may not work.

The utility uses an "injection" style patching method and therefore does not modify the game on disk, it modifies it in memory. Therefore, the utility must be run before and alongside the game each time you play.

For the moment I'm providing a binary only release. However, if there is enough interest in the source code I may release that as well.

EDIT: I've added a new version, v1.2, that includes support for big picture mode.

or... you can just do this without needing to download anything.

Go to device manager
Select the Xbox Controller
Right click and select "Update driver software"
"Browse my computer for driver software"
"Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
And then select "Microsoft Xbox One Controller" instead of the previously installed "Xbox Controller"

Unfortunately your suggested fix does not apply to Xbox One controller when used via the wireless dongle.

please support the Xbox One Elite Controller aswell !! I have the Elite controller and it dont work with dongle

I believe the program does not work if "ffxiiiimg.exe" (located in "\Steam\SteamApps\common\FINAL FANTASY XIII\white_data\prog\win\bin") is run as administrator. Could you please fix this (as this "run as administrator" method is the only way to make gedosato work)?

This is to be expected and is part of the Windows security model. The fixer utility running with standard privileges does not have access to any "high" integrity process, including those launched with "run as administrator".

My suggestion would be to try to launch the fixer with administrative privileges.
