Nonetheless: Major misconception about this achievement is that you need to have one of every item present in the inventory by the end of the game, while it's actually only necessary to acquire every item at some point during the game-play.
Upgrading weapon or accessory to final stage count as having all of those previous stages acquired.
You don't need to have multiple stages of same item to be present in the inventory as suggested in the jduecker's guide.[gamefaqs.gamespot.com]
(he does mention in the guide that it's just due to his way of completionist gaming.)
However, if you have problem to remember what items you have acquired through out the game- progress, it's safer to always keep at least one of each accessory, when you decide to sell some.
Problem might be to watch out for treasure spheres. I don't remember if there are some accessories that can be obtained only through some hidden treasure in unrevisitable location though.
Both Fandom[finalfantasy.fandom.com] and Gamer Corner[guides.gamercorner.net] can be of some help to get better info about each accessory origin/upgrade.
Charms on the other hand are unique and you can get only one of each from treasures in Gran Pulse, with exception of water and ice, where you can get two of them.
Jduecker's guide tells you do not sell any charms since you need to dismantle one of the ice charm to have 3 frost rings total. One to keep at 1st stage, second to upgrade to icicle ring and last one to upgrade all the way to boreal ring. As I mentioned before, that's optional.
