No d3d9.dll file in FF13 Fix download

The old guide has to be outdated somehow, there is no dll file of that name for me to copy into the game's folder. I found the ini file and put that in, but the dll file isn't there and i'd be worried the fix won't work at all without it.

the old guide on steam definitely still works, i downloaded the patch yesterday im at stable 60 fps, same with XII 2

Yes I got the zip from GitHub, there was no d3d9.dll anywhere.
There's no reason it should be auto removed by some security on my computer it didn't alert me to anything.

Reasonable or not, if your FF13Fix folder does not contain d3d9.dll after extracting the zip archive, that's probably exactly what happened.

Check the "Quarantine" of your security software if it have any, and also whether it's not set to silent mode, suppressing any alert windows.
