Thanks for the reply, but I still don't get it. Which Focus of Vanille are you talking about?
"Hundreds of years in the past, she (Vanille) and Fang completed their Focus and turned to crystal."
from Datalog>People>Vanille
This one? But it is already completed.
"It is the brand of a cursed l'Cie. Worse, they must now complete their assigned Focus if they are to avoid becoming monstrous Cie'th, ..."
from Datalog>Events>Chapter 3
Or this one? But this one happened after the game started, not in the "Thirteen days".
"... but Vanille's mark was still active."
from Datalog>The Thirteen Days>Day 4: Searching
Just why is her brand active, 9 days before the game started, when supposedly she should not have any Focus? Aarrrrgggghhhhhh
Another thing could be that she might be an exception where she might have kinda like a second task to complete (ragnarok) which means she had a 1st one to complete.
This is just my theory on it since the game does not really explain the plot or the world of the game that well, we are just shoved into it and are just expected to accept the fal'cie, I'Cie, and the whole Pulse thing. Even if there is the 13 days, it is more of a background story of how are heroes came into play, at the end of it all, I'm still not sure whether or not the fal'cie are suppose to be good or bad. And why do they wish for ragnarok? =_="
