4gb patch stopped working

For some reason the 4gb patch doesn't work for me anymore. I'm following the instructions fo ff13fix and even so I still get error 51. The strange thing is that yesterday it still worked, today I formatted the computer and now it doesn't work anymore. Any tips?

Could your “untouched.exe” be modified as well?

For some reason this was not so. But I managed to fix it. I uninstalled all mods and reinstalled again. But this time, I created the copy of the game's executable, even before applying ff13fix, and it worked. Before I was applying ff13fix and then creating the "untouched" and applying the 4gb patch, for some reason it didn't work.

I myself am having this issue, have uninstalled everything, re-downloaded and even did your tip but I myself am getting a Code 51

I had the same issue (using the HD Characters and HD Texture Overhaul mods as well) but fortunately haven't had issues just reverting back to the old .exe even with the lower memory usage thankfully. Didn't expect others to be having the issue. I definitely applied the fix before the 4GB patch too though (since the decumentation for the fix notes it now being compatable I thought this was the correct order) and I guess you're supposed to do the 4GB patch first. First time I had issue with that patch too, it's a lifesaver if you want to modernize and properly run the original Witcher today.

Make a copy of the original ffxiiiimg.exe and rename it to untouched.exe then patch the ffxiiiimg.exe haha Now the error 51 should go away.

What I was doing was to just rar the ffxiiiimg.exe and have just the patched one in the directory. For some reason, this was causing me the error 51. Doing things this way, fixed it for me.
