Should I upgrade power wristband and magicians mark to max early in the game?

I'm in ch 4 and I have the component resources to max out both Lightning's power wristband and Hopes magician mark. However, I'm unsure if it is a good idea to use up my resources this early in the game. I don't know how easily these items will be replenished later on. I would hate to gimp myself. Any thoughts?

Yes, use your resources. What you have now is pocket change compared to what you'll get over the next few chapters, and that's pocket change compared to a few chapters after that. What you can get for those resources--net +40 to STR/MAG--is very meaningful when your base stats are maybe 100, not so meaningful later on as your base stats climb towards and past 1000.

Consider upgrading your Black Belt (assuming you picked it up) in addition to these or instead of the Magician's Mark. 20% physical resistance is pretty nice, and unlike the stat boosters it will stay relevant for the whole game.
