There is nothing in this game that is limited to anything but sloppy coding. And ye, the monster database is missing in 1080p, again for no reason.
Both, the PS3 and the 360 had multi core CPUs. The Cell CPU of the PS3 had 8 cores which were designed for specific tasks, which means every developer had to focus heavily on threaded optimisation of the code. The 360 also had a CPU with 3 cores, resulting in multicore code for the console. To say the code on last gen consoles was single threaded is simply false.
Tell that to ubisoft...
The consoles have lower overheads than what a pc of similar spec would have, but there are rigs that dwarf the power of the ps4 and it makes no difference to this game's performance.
It wants 1 thing: a single core clocked at around 4.2ghz and nothing else. Your gpu could be a 8800GT for all it matters.
