Something in the 3-5 million range is enough if 100% means "get all trophies", and if you're willing to pursue Treasure Hunter as efficiently as possible (which includes selling off almost all of the equipment during the process of actually getting Treasure Hunter). Note that this also assumes you'll be acquiring the necessary Dark Matter and Scarletite (in addition to the Traps) through farming rather than purchasing.

With perfect efficiency, you need to farm a total of ~3.6 million gil. This is separate from the ~1.5 million gil worth of resources you'll get from treasure spheres, mission rewards, boss drops, and similar. Note that you'll be doing at least some incidental Chocobo farming in the course of getting 20 Chocobo digs, and that you're likely to get some extra gil in the course of farming for Dark Matter and for Traps.

For other definitions of 100%, or for less efficient pursuit of Treasure Hunter, you need more gil. If you want estimates, let me know what your plans are.

where can i farm the ( i think) 3-4 dark matter ? i think it were some Turtles but i dont recall which ones ( probably the ones you unlock after beating all Cieth missions in the circle

my Plan is to probably do the Dismantle trick
might cost me some extra Gil but if i get 3 Traps for 1 and if i do it 1 time with Vanille and 1 time with Fang ill have 5 Traps for 4 remaining tier 3 weapons

currently working my way to the Double Egg and after that i go farm sacrifises

Dark Matter is the rare drop from Shaolong Gui (25% chance with 5 stars, 27.5% with a Connoisseur Catalog). You'll need a minimum of 5 for Treasure Hunter.

Traps are best farmed from Long Gui (same chances as Dark Matter). If you're going to get them through dismantling, it's worth noting that a maxed Genji Glove dismantles for a Trap, so you can get up to three of them that way (maxing a Genji Glove is pretty cheap). Past that you're looking at about 1.2 million extra gil per weapon dismantle. Since you'll have lots of Scarletite after farming Sacrifices, the cheapest weapon to use will be Fang's Punisher (this counts the value of the other materials you get when you dismantle it).

I'm pretty sure Traps are 5% with Long Gui. 1% with Adamantoise. I spent hours and hours killing those things, personally i think it was quicker than the dismantling thing. cost far less gil which is equally tedious to obtain.
Bear in mind a tier 11 weapon(Anything upgraded with a trap) only gives 20,000 exp (without multiplier) with an ultracompact reactor costing $50,000.
You find yourself spending $1million gil on reactors to up a weapon by a few levels even with a level 3 multiplier.

Compared to a tier one weapon (iron bangle) that gives 60,000 exp from a reactor.(without multiplier).

Yes, those are the base chances. Scoring 5-stars on the fight gives you a x5 multiplier on the rare drop chance, thus 25% for Long Gui (and 5% for Adamantoise).

Using optimal upgrade paths, Punisher costs 31,000 to purchase, 44,040 gil to max at tier 1, takes a Scarletite to upgrade to tier 2, costs 122,720 gil to upgrade to max tier 2, takes a Trap to transform to tier 3, and costs 1,252,880 gil to max at tier 3. After dismantling, you get 260,440 gil worth of stuff in addition to the Traps. Thus the total net cost is 1,190,200 gil assuming you don't purchase the Scarletite. If you're buying the t2 catalyst, you're better off with Shamanic Spear, which has a net cost of 1,267,655 gil vs. 1,290,200 for Punisher given the cost of Scarletite. The worst weapon to use that still gives you 3 total Traps is Tigerclaw, which has a net cost of 1,549,255 gil--admittedly, 300,000 gil of that cost is the initial cost of the weapon, so there's an argument for Healer's Staff being worst since that costs 1,542,620 gil and the weapon is only 19,800 gil of that (Healer's Staff is super expensive because it needs an Adamantite to transform).
